The North Face
Sometimes we run to get away from our everyday and to be one with the outdoors and its surroundings. It’s not often we get the chance to run in an region designated a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO — thanks to the countless hours put in by the race volunteers and organizers, and the support from the community of Charlevoix, we once again have the opportunity to run in one of the most serene landscapes the province of Quebec has to offer.
On behalf of The North Face Canada, thank you for participating in this year’s fifth edition of Ultra-Trail Harricana and giving back to a great cause — to raise funds and awareness for The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada and for the 100,000 Canadians living with MS. Best of luck on race day and don’t forget to take a bit of time to soak up the views that La Malbaie has to offer while you’re out on the trails

In synergy with our members and partners, we have the mission to promote Charlevoix’s tourism industry encouraging economic, human and sustainable development. Our vision: positioning the Charlevoix region as an exceptional destination renowned for its uniqueness and warmth.
Gouvernement du Québec
The goal of Quebec’s tourism ministry is to support the development and promotion of tourism in the province, by encouraging discussion and partnership among the actors involved in that development and promotion, with a view to creating jobs, economic prosperity and sustainable development.
From the very first year, the Corporation du parc régional du Mont Grand-Fonds falls, every September, into the rhythm of The Ultra-Trail Harricana of Canada. Over time, a posse of ambassadors, runners and nature lovers have come to explore the mountain, this wild, natural and completely unique place where a sense of freedom goes hand in hand with the drive to push yourself.
We warmly welcome you, runners and challenge-seekers, to this important yet unique event. Friends, parents and families are all welcome to come cheer on these admirable athletes of all levels. Come enjoy Mont Grand-Fond and Charlevoix for its vibrant attractions: the breathtaking natural panoramas and the legendary authenticity of its inhabitants.
MRC de Charlevoix
A regional county municipality (RCM) encompasses all the municipalities in a home territory forming an administrative unit known as a municipality under the Municipal Code of Québec, incorporated by letters patent issued by the government. The RCMs are privileged forums for discussion of critical issues of concern to elected municipal officials like land use and economic and social development.
The Charlevoix CRM strives to ensure balanced land-development planning and support social and economic development initiatives, which is addressed by its Service de développement local et entrepreneurial (SDLE) that helps companies get started, expand and transfer ownership.
