Ultra-Trail Harricana unveils its 2018 schedule

26 February 2018

Press release / For immediate release

The Ultra-Trail Harricana team is pleased to release its revamped schedule for this year’s event taking place on September 7, 8 and 9. Stretching out over three days this year—from Friday to Sunday—the long weekend will give participants even more opportunities for fun. Details on the new activities will be available in the upcoming months.

The longer-distance races (125 km, 80 km and 65 km) will be held on Saturday and the shorter distances (5 km, 10 km and 28 km) will now be run on Sunday. Also, all activities on Friday will be held in the city La Malbaie.

On Friday and Saturday afternoon, there will be two new free activities for everyone. More information on those activities will be available this spring, as will the detailed schedule of the event’s cultural program, promising a festive atmosphere over the entire weekend.

“We are very excited about the new schedule,” explains Marline Côté, Executive Manager of Événements Harricana. “Runners travel long distances to participate in the Ultra-Trail Harricana, and the new directions we’re going in will enhance their experience so they leave full of lasting memories. They won’t be disappointed,” she promises.

Note that 6,000 visitors are expected at the event’s seventh edition, epitomizing the ever-increasing number of runners from other countries and from all across Quebec the event attracts every year.

To learn more about the new schedule, go to the website harricana.info/en/2018-schedule.

Participants of the 5 km, 10 km and 28 km who are unsatisfied with those changes can ask for a cancellation or transfer (free of charges) until March 18th at midnight. Requests will be accepted via email at info@harricana.info.
