SAIL IS PROUD TO PRESENT THE 10 KM TRAIL RUNNING EVENT

THE IDEAL TRAIL RUNNING EVENT FOR BEGINNERS

The race will get underway on the cross-country trails of the ski center. You will come across Camp Georges, onto the Orignac trail and along the Comporté River.

  • 10 km – 200 meters of elevation gain (6 miles – 600ft of ascension)
  • Loop
  • Race starts at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday 
  • Maximum of 400 athletes
  • Maximum race time: 2 hours
  • Elite race time: 50 minutes

Runners’ Code

  • Semi-autonomy is a requirement.
  • Make sure that you carry adequate equipment.
  • You are required to provide assistance to any runner in danger.
  • Spirit of cooperation is a requirement.
  • Smile and enjoy the scenery.

General Rules

  • You are allowed to use a stick.
  • Your race bib must be worn on the chest or stomach and be visible at all times.
  • Always remain on the marked course.
  • Trash must be disposed of at any of the refreshment stations or kept on you.
  • It is forbidden to use earphones, iPods, radios, mp3 players, etc.
  • Animals are not allowed.

Course description

1st to 3rd km
Difficulty level: Hard
Wide and clear cross-country ski trail (ascent), muddy and swampy at times

3rd km to 6th km
Difficulty level: Very hard
Very narrow, technical, dance-like leg (rocks, stones and roots). Not much acceleration possible.

6th km to 10th km
Difficulty level: Easy
Wide, fast-paced trail (descending slope). Muddy and swampy in some areas.
